This excursion throws the cruise passengers back 1996 through the historic relics of Australian Task Force Base. Contact us have a meaningful day here.
Our local guide and driver will welcome you inside the pier, you will see them right after you check out the cruise ship. Transfer directly to the site of Australian Task force Base where Australian soldiers set up the base in 1966 and it was the biggest Australian base in Viet Nam during the war.
Our first stop-over is Nui Dat SAS Hill, where you will be shown the helicopter parking and camping areas of soldiers and explained the important sites during the war. You will have an overview of the 4km circle of the Nui Dat base perimeter. Next, we will visit the rubber forest and pass Mong Ngua Mountain – which was used to be the shelter of Vietnamese soldiers.
Afterwards, we continue transferring to Long Tan Cross Memorial to commemorate the Australian and Vietnamese soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the war and then Long Phuoc Tunnels dug by the Viet Minh and Viet Cong for fighting and sheltering.
We will drive back to port, on the way back, if time permits, stop to visit Ba Ria market.
After the tour, return the cruise ship and say good bye our team! See you in the next port.
