Away from the busy beach city: the countryside, a village market and small family workshops, where you meet local people at their work.
Port update (October 2026): Nha Trang port is closed for repairs and most large ships now dock at Cam Ranh, about 60 km south (60–75 minutes each way). Please add that travel time to this excursion. Our guide and driver meet you at the ship. On the drive into Nha Trang you pass along the coast and the long city beach. In town we switch to motorbikes for the trip out to the countryside, and we spend the afternoon in the villages with the people who live there.
This trip is about everyday village life. We follow the Cai River and stop at small craft workshops and at an old house built the traditional way, more than 200 years old. You can try the fruits in season and walk through a village market. You will see people weaving mats, making conical hats and incense sticks, and making rice paper and noodles.
Dinner is at Lac Canh, a well-known restaurant in town that many foreign visitors like for its Vietnamese food.
After dinner the car and guide take you back to the ship. The tour ends 2 hours before your ship leaves, so there is no risk of missing it.

All transport is private, with a licensed, experienced driver. The vehicle depends on the size of your group:
1 pax: Private 4 or 7 seat van
2 – 3 pax: Private 7 seat van
4 – 8 pax: Private 16 seat van
9 – 15 pax: private 29 seat bus
16 – 20 pax: Private 35 seat bus
20 – 25 pax: Private 45 seat bus
Guide
We use licensed, experienced local guides who speak English. Other languages on request.
What to bring: comfortable shoes or sandals, a camera, sunglasses, sunscreen and a light jacket.
Travel insurance: local travel insurance is included in the entrance tickets.
