Tour Overview:
We drive to Dan Xay Bridge, where you will explore the Vam Sat Eco-Tourist Zone during peak bird nesting season. See the crocodile swamp and the bat lagoon, and climb Tang Bong Tower for the view. After a delicious lunch, explore Forest Park (Monkey Island), the Can Gio Museum, and the vital Mangrove Forest Ecosystem, concluding with a visit to the historic Rung Sac Guerrilla Base.
Tour Description:
We will depart for Dan Xay Bridge, where we will take a boat or canoe to explore the natural bird reserve at Vam Sat Eco-Tourist Zone, particularly during peak season from May to October. This area is part of the Vam Sat Salt-Marsh Forest Ecological Tourist Zone, situated between the Vam Sat and Long Tau Rivers. This region was severely impacted during the Vietnam War but has since regrown and is now protected as a wilderness park, showcasing nature’s resilience.
Our adventure continues with a visit to the crocodile swamp, where you may catch a glimpse of these fascinating reptiles in their natural habitat. Next, we will explore the bat lagoon, home to a variety of bat species. Then we climb Tang Bong Tower, 26 meters tall, for a view over the mangrove forest. After conquering the tower, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, sampling regional specialties.
In the afternoon, we will head to Forest Park (Monkey Island) to visit Can Gio Museum and Mangrove Forest Park Faun Conservation, where thousands of monkeys and saltwater crocodiles thrive. We will also explore the vital Mangrove Forest Ecosystem before visiting the Rung Sac Guerrilla Base, an important chapter in Vietnam history.
