Day 1: Vientiane arrive
Vientiane, the capital and largest city of Laos, sits on the Mekong River. The city is made up of five districts and lies right on the border with Thailand.
When you arrive, our guide meets you and takes you to the hotel. As the day unfolds, seize the opportunity to explore the dynamic Night Market, for a walk around and a free dinner. After the evening out, go back to your hotel in the centre of Vientiane for the night.
Day 2: Vientiane – city tour – Buddha Park (B)
After breakfast, a day to see the main landmarks of Vientiane. Commence your journey with a visit to Wat Sisaket, an ancient temple adorned with thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Continue to Wat Prakeo, once the home of the famed Emerald Buddha Image.
The next highlight is Laos' national treasure, the revered That Luang Stupa. Capture the magnificence of this iconic structure and immortalize moments at Vientiane's version of the Arc de Triomphe, the imposing Patuxay Monument.
In the afternoon, visit Buddha Park, with many Buddha and Hindu statues in one garden. Wrap up your day by delving into the world of Lao handicraft textiles at the Lao Textile Museum, with traditional weaving and art.
