This tour takes you on a cultural and artistic journey from Ha Noi to Bat Trang Village, renowned for its ceramics, and Dong Ho Village, famous for traditional hand-printed folk paintings. After lunch, visit the historic But Thap Pagoda, home to stunning 17th-century wood carvings. Discover local craftsmanship, artistic heritage, and Vietnam’s rich cultural history before returning to Ha Noi.
Tour Description:
We will drive 15 kilometers east from Ha Noi to Bat Trang Village, known for its fine ceramics. Upon arrival, you can soltrl through the narrow alleys of this ancient village and observe locals crafting their products. We will visit houses that serve as workshops and showrooms, allowing you to admire a diverse selection of ceramic items, rich in style and variety.
After exploring Bat Trang, we will head to Dong Ho Village, famous for its traditional folk paintings. Each painting is hand-printed using an ancient technique, with materials naturally sourced from local plants. You will spend time in an artist’s house, learning about the creative process behind these unique works.
Next, you will enjoy lunch before visiting But Thap Pagoda, one of the oldest in Vietnam, and recognized as the country’s first Buddhist center. This pagoda is celebrated for its stunning wood carvings and sculptures, including the famous statues of Tay Thien Dong and the Buddha with a thousand hands and eyes, regarded as masterpieces of 17th-century woodcarving.
After the visit, we will return to Ha Noi, concluding a day full of cultural and artistic discovery.
